CLU does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.
Data Processing:
- Legal document content is extracted from web pages and processed locally by the extension.
- When analysis is requested, the document text is sent directly to the AI provider configured by the user (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or another compatible provider).
- CLU does not route data through developer-controlled servers.
- CLU does not collect analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or tracking information.
API Keys:
- User-provided API keys are stored locally within the browser using Firefox extension storage.
- API keys are used solely to authenticate requests to the selected AI provider.
Third-Party Services:
- Any document text submitted for analysis is subject to the privacy policy and terms of the selected AI provider.
- Users should review the privacy practices of their chosen provider before using the extension.
Data Retention:
- CLU does not retain copies of analyzed documents.
- CLU does not maintain user accounts or cloud storage.
