CLU does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information.

Data Processing:

• Legal document content is extracted from web pages and processed locally by the extension.
• When analysis is requested, the document text is sent directly to the AI provider configured by the user (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or another compatible provider).
• CLU does not route data through developer-controlled servers.
• CLU does not collect analytics, telemetry, usage statistics, or tracking information.

API Keys:

• User-provided API keys are stored locally within the browser using Firefox extension storage.
• API keys are used solely to authenticate requests to the selected AI provider.

Third-Party Services:

• Any document text submitted for analysis is subject to the privacy policy and terms of the selected AI provider.
• Users should review the privacy practices of their chosen provider before using the extension.

Data Retention:

• CLU does not retain copies of analyzed documents.
• CLU does not maintain user accounts or cloud storage.
