About this extension

Colophon helps students show how they wrote something, not just what they handed in.

While you write in Google Docs, Colophon keeps a record of the process: your edits, text you paste in, and any AI help you used. When you paste text, you can say where it came from, for example ChatGPT, or that it was not AI. This is your own report, not an automatic detector.

When you are done, export the record as a .twff file and share it with your teacher if you choose to. You can open .twff files in the built-in viewer or at colophon.firl.nl/viewer.

Private by default
- The record is stored in your browser and is never sent anywhere automatically.
- Colophon only runs on docs.google.com.
- No account, no tracking and no ads.
