About this extension
Comfort Links replaces the Firefox new tab with a grid of shortcuts you can organize the way you organize apps shortcuts on your phone.
Folders by drag and drop — drop one shortcut onto another to make a folder and give it any name. Drag a shortcut out of a folder to take it back.
Free placement — put shortcuts and folders anywhere on the grid, across several pages.
Smart folders — optional “Recent” and “Most visited” folders that fill themselves.
Real site icons — large icons load automatically instead of plain letters.
Backgrounds — the same wallpaper collection Firefox offers, your own image or a solid colour.
Sync — your layout follows you to other computers through your Mozilla account (Firefox Sync with “Add-ons” turned on).
Backup — save the layout to a file manually or automatically and restore it after reinstalling Firefox.
Quick add — “Add to Comfort Links” in the page, link and tab context menus.
Your current Firefox shortcuts are imported on first run.
Desktop Firefox 140 or later. Firefox for Android does not let add-ons replace the new tab page. Languages: English, Ukrainian.
Free, no ads, no tracking. Nothing is sent to the developer. Why each permission is needed is explained below. Source code and issues: https://github.com/lyapupastar-png/Comfort-Links/
