My Firefox can't open the .xpi extension, it keeps telling me no apps found to open the extension

Some other cookie extensions have their content window open on an entirely new page. When we are developing web applications, most of the time we just want to quickly take a look at cookies present, remove or edit and save them. This extension opens a non-obtrusive popup window without forcing one to leave the current page we are working with, which is perfect!
