Cookie Switch is a browser extension developed by ABSONS Technologies that lets you save cookie sets for websites you use and switch between accounts on those websites.
- Cookie sets you explicitly capture with “Get Current Account”, together with the site URL, account names, notes, and settings you enter.
- All of this is stored only locally in your browser using the browser's extension storage (
storage.local) on your device.
- It does not collect, sell, rent, or transmit your cookies, browsing history, or any other personal data to the developer or to any third party.
- It has no analytics, tracking, advertising, or telemetry.
- It does not send your stored cookie sets anywhere. Export/backup files are created only when you click Export/Backup, and are saved to your own device — you choose if and where to share them.
The extension makes no network requests at all. It does not phone home, check for updates, or contact any server — updates are delivered by the Chrome Web Store / Firefox Add-ons like any other store extension.
cookies— to read, save, and restore the cookie sets you ask it to switch between.storage— to save those cookie sets and your settings locally.tabs— to find tabs for the site you are switching and reload them after a switch.- Host access (
<all_urls>) — because you can use Cookie Switch with any website; the extension cannot know in advance which sites you will add.
Your data stays in your browser until you delete a site/account inside the extension, clear the extension's storage, or uninstall the extension — uninstalling removes all locally stored data.
