Country Filter for X is a free browser extension from TechyGeeksHome. It hides or blurs posts on x.com based on where the author's account is based, using the "Account based in" information X shows on each profile.

What it stores
Everything is kept in your own browser, using the browser's extension storage:
- your chosen countries and regions, and your settings
- a cache of accounts it has checked (handle, display name, "Account based in", "Connected via", when it was checked, and whether you blocked it from the extension)
- counts of how many posts were filtered from each location

Cached accounts expire after 30 days. Removing the extension deletes all of it.

What it sends, and where
The extension only talks to x.com, using your own signed-in session:
- it asks x.com for the "About this account" details of accounts whose posts are on your screen
- when you click Block, it asks x.com to block that account on your X account

Nothing is sent to TechyGeeksHome or to anyone else. There are no analytics, no adverts, no tracking and no accounts.

What it doesn't do
- It does not read your messages, passwords or anything outside x.com and twitter.com.
- It does not sell or share any data.
- It does not block anyone unless you click Block yourself.
