by WhatDoesFreedomMean2U, a year agoThank you for making this add on. My goals are to know the manufacturer, avoid abusive work conditions, like China, and find products, sometimes more expensive, from high quality manufacturers, like Japan, Germany, etc. This saves me a lot of separate looking up and verifying product lines, but for each item it saves me about 30 min of effort. The local products feature doesn't ever show me anything, but I'd be happy to see it working someday. The trouble I am having, is that the manufacturer feature doesn't work on Walmart, only Amazon. Does your addon only reveal manufacturer on Amazon, and not on any partners? That's still very helpful, but it limits usefulness for me.
Thank you for your response... I am clicking check locally. But there's nothing there after it loads. It just asks me my zip code again and again.
The revealing manufacturers feature is the main reason for me. I noticed that US farmers who sell from their farms sometimes don't register the source of the food. So for instance, if you look at Marsh Hen Mills products, they grow, mill and package their own grains. But the origin says unknown. At first this was confusing, especially since any search like "Carolina grits" brings up a question mark for nearly every product in the search results page. I got used to it quickly though.
There's a "firefox is slow because of an addon" message while using Amazon. I'm assuming you're aware of this and are working on it. (windows 10, ff 118.0.2 atm)
I really appreciate the effort you've put into making this a useful tool and I'm happy to wait for improvements. Thank you.
