- Rated 5 out of 5by trjonas, 5 months agoExcellent - just what I needed! Technical support is also friendly, responsive, and helpful. I needed a little help from the excellent Guy to get it going but as soon as I understood what to do, it worked perfectly.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Code Medic, 7 months agoWorks just about, but changes to favicon does not take effect 90% of the time. I just couldn't figure out why / when it loads a change to the icon.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Trefkar, a year agoworks without issue for me.
however: PLEASE add support for capturing groups so we can use backreferences (\1 \2 etc) - Rated 4 out of 5by goForAnotherLife, a year agoExcellent add on for personal customization.
Could use some more tutorial or guide to help new user familiar with the interface.
Also, any specific pixel the png file should be to be able to use for custom favicon?
For anyone who searching for option to bring back the beloved blue bird, you will not disappointed.
Short guide on how to proceed:
Rule Name: name of the rule for easy identify
Title Regular Expression (optional): Twitter / X
URL Regular Expression: https://twitter.com/
Custom Title: Twitter or whatever text you want to replace the tab title with
Custom Favicon: Be sure to use .png file and find transparent picture for best result. Try to resize the pixel of the file if fail to replace the icon. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13078201, 2 years agoNot bad, but it'd be really good to explain (with examples!) how matching works - for example for urls.
In-situ help would be best, so one does not have to dig for the manual when this information is needed. - Rated 1 out of 5by schwarzeabyss, 2 years agoI cannot tell if this extension would actually work as intended since you cannot actually save any rules.
Once you click save, other than the selected favicon appearing above the save button nothing else happens. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16367727, 2 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13362223, 2 years agoWhen you first set icon #1 (svg) in the application, the icon for this site on the start page in the "Top Sites" block also changed (this is good)
When you change the icon in the application for this site to another one, the original icon # 1 remains in the "Top Sites" block
It does not change either in the regular way (by specifying a link to the resource), or when the rule is deleted, even when the application is deleted. This is bad. Clearing your profile is not an option. Can you at least tell me where the fox stores this data
P.S. w10 FF dev edition 100.0b9 app ver 2.0.2
P.P.S The same effect on the icon at the bookmark to this site in the bookmarks bar
P.P.P.S I found a workaround - in the settings in the shortcut in the Top Sites I specified the same domain, but with a slash on the right (and in the application the domain was without a slash) and then I already specified the desired icon in the regular way.Developer response

Thanks for your review. Regarding your question about storage of files, this add-on relies on Firefox standards API. Here's an explanation how and where Firefox stores add-ons related files: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1159626 - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12452163, 2 years agoI thought it deleted all my tree-style tabs in the left panel but actually it just changed the left panel to bookmarks - I could easily change it back to Tree Style Tab using a dropdown there. So no problem in that regard.
Overly complicated - I want to give the tab a new name and have the extension figure out to do that based on the URL. This is too complicated to use. It should be doing the regular expressions and rules behind the scenes.Developer response
posted 2 years agoYou can change the name based on the tab title also, not only the URL. Regular expressions can be as simple as one part of the initial tab title. Developer response
posted 3 years agoHi. You should find all the explanations here: https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/custom-tab-title-and-favicon/
Does it help ?
PS: Thanks a lot for the rating update !!!- Rated 1 out of 5by VILYAM, 3 years agoНе работает, после заполнения полей названия и адреса и выбора изображения нажимаю сохранить, появляется выбранное изображение в настройках расширения, после обновления страницы с настройками, все настройки сбрасываются на пустые поля. FireFox 100.0.2 x64. Когда исправите, сообщите мне.

posted 3 years agoHi. Translation: Does not work, after filling in the name and address fields and selecting an image, I click save, the selected image appears in the extension settings, after refreshing the page with the settings, all settings are reset to blank fields. FireFox 100.0.2 x64. When you fix it, let me know.
This is strange. If you hit the save button on the rules and refresh the page, the new icons and title should appear. Did you test the new version ? - Rated 5 out of 5by Alexey Murz Korepov, 3 years ago

posted 3 years agoHi. There was no update of the plugin and it still works with latest release of Firefox. Did you upgrade Firefox or installed another add-in ? - Rated 4 out of 5by they86, 3 years agoWorks great & easy to use...
I use it to get rid of a nasty animated favicon on Telegram Web.
The favicon part works great... When I change the tab title though, there's a small flickering going on, probably every time Telegram pings for an update and the tab title has to be overwritten again.
If anybody has a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated...
Other than that I agree with Pablo Vieira that an extension shortcut on the toolbar would be more intuitive. :)Developer response
posted 3 years agoActually, the add-in updates the title each time it changes. It may happen that Telegram is updating the title from time to time and we apply the rule when the change is detected.
Regarding the settings, version 2.0 brings the settings from an extension shortcut or in the sidebar - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14075984, 3 years agowork it as intended, nice addon
but there's slight delay when the site gets fully loaded, can you improve this by any chance?Developer response
posted 3 years agoHi. In some websites, like GMail, the title is changed by the code of the page once fully loaded. This triggers a delay in the update of the rule. - Rated 5 out of 5by Pablo Vieira, 3 years agoGreat addon. I suggest just two improvements:
a) Don't force the user to go to Extensions->Custom Tab...->Options. Let the user do it directly by using an extension icon on the toolbar.
b) You may also use Firefox's SideBar to show and edit all defined custom tabs.
I can see you have listened to my suggestions. Thank you very much!Developer response
posted 3 years agoHi. New version 2.0.1 supports the access to the settings via an extension icon and via the sidebar Developer response
posted 4 years agoSorry to read that. This is strange. It should keep the settings after restart, upgrade and even synchronize them if you have a Firefox account. What version of Firefox do you use and on what OS ?
