- Rated 5 out of 5by brozgz, 6 days agoThe developers behind this are absolute heroes for constantly maintaining and extending this plugin. It must be an incredibly daunting task, trying to ensure *every* website out there can have a good-looking dark mode applied in a performant/efficient way on page load. Make sure you don't just use the plugin but subscribe with a donation. I recently read an update from them about having to deal with a very tricky performance issue in Firefox and it made me realise how much I take this plugin for granted and the pressure they're under. Thank you guys! 🙌🏼

Sometimes there are some bugs, or performance issues, but it is WAY better than anything else available!
The creator also puts in A LOT of effort, so I recommend others to donate! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14291249, 6 days agoSlows down YouTube immensely. Even when toggled off.

The initial presentation is downright ugly.
**INCLUDES A HUGELY INVASIVE START PAGE** sporting no less than 3 "DONATE" elements -- Could these not be more subtle? At least (please?) add a tick-box to close it?
Darn skippy I got a Github and betcher bloomerz I'm taking it over there. - Rated 5 out of 5by TPD-Andy, 7 days ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by a_dislayed_name, 7 days agoThis extension has saved me from so many headaches. I used to have to rely on each site having its own native dark mode, and found myself suffering when they didn't but with this I can finally rest my eyes on sites that DON'T have a native dark mode

- Rated 3 out of 5by KovaLurienGaming TTV, 7 days agoRecently the addon started overriding my Theme on the browser initializing. Disabling and Re-Enabling any theme fixes it until Firefox restarts.

- Rated 5 out of 5by PhoenixGrey, 8 days agoFunctions exactly as expected. Some tuning is required but that's more a function of the sites rather than the extension. Great work, and thank you for making the web easier on my eyes.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18734509, 8 days agoAn incredible eye-saver. It does an infinitely better job than other similar extensions, issues are rare, and the feature set allows users to set rules for problematic sites. Although it's not always the absolute most performant add-on, the DarkReader team are clever in their solutions, quick to address issues when popular websites cause incompatability, and deserve a ton of praise for this volunteer-created tool. Thanks guys, you're appreciated!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16255010, 8 days agoIt was relatively good until recently, when it was automatically updated, and after that I could not see the bookmarks in the bookmarks sidebar, nor the menu bar. All was just black, except for the icons for the bookmarks in the sidebar. It became useless
Eventually I figured it out.
So here is how it should be explained:
Open the settings of the Dark Reader > Click the "More" tab > Click "All Settings" > Click/toggle "Change Browser Theme" so that it says "Default browser theme is active".
If you want some custom browser theme, install it or enable it AFTER all this procedure through Firefox Themes settings. You actually may need to uninstall and reinstall the Dark Reader extension and revert to the default Firefox browser theme in the Firefox settings before all this. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18734097, 8 days ago
