Privacy Policy - DarkSpace (D2L Brightspace Dark Mode)

Data Collection
DarkSpace does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data or browsing activity, and sends nothing to the developer. It contains no analytics or tracking. All user preferences (dark mode state, document/video dark mode toggles, fonts, schedule, custom domains) are stored in your browser's extension storage. If you use Firefox Sync with add-ons enabled, these preferences may sync across your devices.

Fonts
The settings page uses the DM Sans font from Google Fonts. If you choose a font other than "Default (System)", Brightspace pages load that font from Google Fonts too. Loading a font sends your IP address and browser details to Google, under Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). With the default font setting, Brightspace pages load nothing from Google.

Permissions
- Storage: save your preferences.
- Scripting: apply dark mode to Brightspace pages (stylesheets and supporting scripts for embedded content, video players and dynamically loaded elements), anpage is a Brightspace site.
- Tabs / activeTab: check whether the current tab is a Brightspace page.
- Access to all websites: Brightspace is hos domain. The extension runs a lightweightcheck on every page; on non-Brightspace pages it changes nothing and reads or stores no data.
- Alarms: run the dark mode schedule.

Data Deletion
All data is stored locally in your browser. To delete it, uninstall the extension. You can also reset your preferences
at any time with "Reset to Defaults" in the

Third Parties
No data is sold, transferred, or disclosed to any third party for any purpose. The extension contains no third-party code or libraries; the only outside service it uses is Google Fonts (see Fonts above).
Remote Code
DarkSpace does not load or execute any remote code. All functionality is bundled within the extension; the only remote resources are the font files described above
