- Rated 4 out of 5by Nogg, a year agoOverall, this add-on is great, though it has some room for improvement, here are some suggestions:
An option to display the translation pop-up immediately upon text selection.
The audio to help pronunciation is good, but the TTS engine could be better(it's using speech synthesis capabilities provided by the operating system)
An option for a more minimalistic layout for the dictionary to avoid excessive scrolling. - Rated 5 out of 5by Grifficon, a year ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12370795, a year agoDeepl, is the most accurate system for translation.
Unfortunately, the add-on is not really useful. Lots of stuff is missing. For example the option to immediately display popup to Auto Translate on mouse selection in the Pop-up Bubble...
Dear developer, have a look at ImTranslator add-on, you will get some inspirations.
Thanks anyway. It's a good start. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12744715, a year ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Bodhi, a year agoThis is puzzling. I can select text on a page and get a translation (albeit with a popup that won't go away) but there's no icon for translating an entire page. I've tried on both a major German newspaper and on a Danish science magazine, and there's nada. I've restarted my browser, although not my machine.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18088275, a year agoTranslation is great but the extension is actually incredibly intrusive. The way it injects elements into the DOM causes some websites to break. There is also no option to translate after right clicking as the add-on claims. The Ctrl+Shift+Y shortcut also overlaps with other add-ons and there is no way to change it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by gdprgeek, a year ago"needs to access and process the texts you are reading and writing." This is completely unnecessary and should be optional. Several 1/2 star reviews point this out, yet DeepL doesn't care (?).

- Rated 4 out of 5by Aliaksei Venski, a year agoAs other users reported, there is still text box ghosting on many sites. It is a pity that developers totally don't care about it.
Developer response
posted a year agoHi there,
Thanks for the report. We're aware of this bug and will have a fix out with the next release.
If you have any other feedback about the extension, we'd love to hear it at firefox@deepl.com. Thanks again! - Rated 5 out of 5by Tamas Heri, a year agoExcellent tool to comfortably use an excellent service. The extension does its job, does not get into way, and flawlessly supports my workflow of reading or editing texts.
- Rated 5 out of 5by KwinTinn, a year agoХорошее дополнение. Качественно переводит текст. Очень жаль, что не работает во внутренних файлах компа (когда открываешь pdf через браузер с этим расширением, оно не предлагает перевод файла)

- Rated 3 out of 5by dreckshippy, a year agoA nice add-on that does only the one thing it's meant to but this is done very good. And no third party software needed anymore where different APIs can be used.
Only the shortcut does not work for me, it always opens the Firefox library (German keyboard layout) and I experienced some glitches in online forms: when I entered text and then hit backspace the former text was still visible and new text was simply written over it which was pretty unreadable - turning off this add-on removed this behavior and turning it back on brought back the error so i suspect it's this add-on. Would be 5/5 if the key combination could be changed and the text glitches were gone. - Rated 5 out of 5by Stevenge, a year agoI use DeepL everyday on my computer, this is a best translater on the market.
