- Rated 5 out of 5by UnusualBits, 6 years agoExactly what I was looking for. Makes quick bookmarking of large sets of pages muuuuuch easier. Very customizable. I like it a lot.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15060440, 6 years agoThere are no instructions on how to use this. I've installed it... and all new bookmarks continue to go to "Other Bookmarks" folder.

posted 6 years agoThank you for your feedback! You should have been redirected to the add-on settings page automatically when you installed the add-on.
It did not seem to be the case, however you can access the add-on settings by going to the Firefox add-ons manager (accessible via the menu "Tools" then "Add-ons" or by using Ctrl+Shift+A).
Then simply click on the "Options" button next to Default Bookmark Folder to get to the settings page.
Once there, you can set up the add-on to fit your needs!

The Mozilla Add-Ons website only allows me to respond once to a review, so it is not the ideal place for a conversation. :) - Rated 5 out of 5by iG0R, 6 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14528326, 6 years agoVery useful, but one major bug that's caused me to uninstall: This addon does NOT like Firefox's Sync feature. If you sync bookmarks, the computer that receives the new bookmarks will have them automatically moved to the default folder. This also happens when you restore a backup.
If you're only using one computer, this is a must-have. Otherwise, I can't recommend. - Rated 5 out of 5by Tamamo No Mae, 6 years agoWorks very well and I highly suggest it, though at the moment I'm experiencing a weird bug where the icon isn't appearing in the address bad sadly. :(

If you can create a new issue on GitHub (https://github.com/teddy-gustiaux/default-bookmark-folder/issues) and provide me with some information (listed when you create an issue), I will be happy to look into this! - Rated 4 out of 5by Deathmist, 6 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15007151, 6 years agoSuggest the features make it clear that it has an option to remember the last folder you saved a bookmark and make it the default. That is exactly what I was looking for and am very happy it works.

- Rated 2 out of 5by OUBRECHT.com, 6 years agoIt works good for clasic url, but I can not use url "chrome://browser/content/places/bookmarksSidebar.xul" for new tab. This addon need url with http or https on start of string.

posted 6 years agoThank you for your review! I have just released a new version (2.10.0) that adds support for "chrome://" URLs for the quick bookmarking icon.
Additionally, the URLs starting with "file:", "about:" and "moz-extension:" are also supported on top of the classic "http:" and "https:".
Please note the update may take a bit of time to be available to everyone.

posted 6 years agoThank you for your review! :) The signature issue is an internal Firefox issue that is affecting all extensions. Mozilla is actively working into fixing the problem. You can follow their progress on the dedicated forum thread (https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/certificate-issue-causing-add-ons-to-be-disabled-or-fail-to-install/39047) and on the bug report (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1548973).
EDIT: The problem has been fixed with the release of Firefox 66.0.5. Please see the dedicated blog post (https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/) for more details or if you are using an older version (52 to 56) of Firefox.- Rated 5 out of 5by Martillo78, 6 years agoFixes a very annoying thing Firefox introduced in latest versions with bookmark folders. Thanks
