Demo-Creator recorder privacy notice

Recording and local storage
When you start recording, the add-on captures the selected browser tab or the window or screen you choose to share. Depending on the mode, captures include screenshots, click positions, control labels, optional short input videos, and visible page text. Desktop capture uses Firefox's sharing picker and stores screenshots without audio. Recording is limited to 50 steps.

Browser mode covers detected revealed or readable passwords and codes before screenshots and input frames are stored. Passwords already masked by the website remain unchanged. Other secrets and personal or confidential information may remain visible. Desktop and screen capture cannot detect passwords. Pause or hide secrets and review captures before upload.

The pairing token, preferences, and unfinished recordings are stored locally in your browser. The add-on does not collect background browsing history or use advertising trackers. Browser access is temporary for the tab where you open the recorder. Reopen it and resume after navigation to a different origin.

Uploads and recipients
Recordings stay local until you choose to upload. Uploading sends captures, demo title, context, language, and applicable captured page text to demo-creator.com over HTTPS. Your locally stored pairing token is sent only to demo-creator.com to authorize uploads. Importing with a demo context requests demo-copy generation: the service sends the context, captured text, step information, and screenshot images to OpenAI. Uploading creates a private draft and does not publish it. Your workspace permissions and subsequent sharing choices determine access to uploaded demos.

Retention and controls
Local captures remain until you discard them, successfully upload them, disconnect, or uninstall the add-on. Disconnecting clears the local captures and pairing token but does not invalidate a copied token or delete uploaded demos. Revoke recorder access in Demo-Creator Settings and manage or delete uploaded content in your workspace. Account, security, billing, and uploaded-content retention follow the full privacy policy.
