DES PDF417 Converter is a browser extension designed to simplify California Driver License and ID barcode scanning within the California DOJ Dealer Entry System (DES).

The extension captures PDF417 barcode input from a compatible scanner and converts Line Feed (LF) separators to caret (^) characters before inserting the converted data into the active DES form field.

The extension operates only on des.doj.ca.gov.

Privacy: All barcode processing occurs locally within the browser. Scanned barcode data and personally identifiable information are not transmitted, uploaded, remotely stored, or shared with third parties.
