About this extension
DWatcher is a privacy-first extension that tracks watched video segments across the web and lets you resume playback seamlessly. It also preserves sessions when websites switch domains. All data is securely stored 100% locally on your device.
  • True Segment Tracking: Unlike ordinary progress bars, DWatcher records only the segments you actually watch. Fast-forwarding or seeking ahead won't falsely mark content as watched. Clearly view what you've Watched, Skipped, and Unwatched.
  • Seamless Resume Playback: Pick up right where you left off with an unobtrusive in-page prompt, or jump straight to missing segments directly from the popup or your Library page.
  • Domain Change Helper (Cookie Vault): Watch videos on websites that frequently rotate their domain names (e.g., .com → .to / .xyz)? Save your session cookies and migrate them to the new domain safely with manual confirmation or automatic import.
  • 100% Local & Privacy-Focused:
  • Zero external servers and no analytics or telemetry.
  • Your browsing and watch history never leave your device.
  • Saved cookies are encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM via the standard Web Crypto API.
  • Optimized for Desktop & Android: One unified experience across Firefox Desktop and Firefox for Android, featuring 44px touch-friendly targets and a clean, lightweight interface.
  • Customizable Appearance: Easily toggle between Light and Dark modes, with built-in support for English, Vietnamese, and Simplified Chinese.

  • Local Storage: Used solely to save your watch history, settings, and encrypted cookie store on your machine.
  • Optional Cookie Permission: Cookie tracking is completely optional (opt-in per website) and never enabled by default.
  • Full User Control: Add websites to your blacklist, manage or auto-clear watch history, and export/import your data at any time.
