- Rated 1 out of 5by SedUz, a month agoDoesn't work at all. Can't even save one session. I got 20k tabs opened across 20 normal and private windows. This extension doesn't work anymore, very sad.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Matthew G. Saroff, 7 months agoStill having problems with the tabs coming up, but not loading in the background. I have to click on each tab.
I don't see anything in the settings to fix this.
I am using the current version of FF on Win 10.Developer response
posted 7 months agoThank you for the review! Due to some changes indeed stuff seems to have broken/no longer work. In addition, after some breaking changes FF side I proceeded with a different tab loading workflow to try and address some other issues. If you have other questions or would like to troubleshoot please email me. Though, do note, some URLs should never have worked. Please confirm whether the URL refers to one of these blocked formats:

Tabs don't open no matter the circumstances, as when i press the restore button, nothing happens. Even tried this on a single tab that i just saved but it still didn't restore.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Dave, a year agoThis was Just What I Needed to move tabs from my old PC to new!! A++!

posted 2 years agoNot exactly, no. You have to manually backup the saves and then on the other computer import them back in.- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13499008, 3 years agoI can't figure out how to restore a session! I click a session, but no restore button appears. If I double click a session, I can edit which tabs to open, but when I click okay, nothing is restored. Frustrating.

posted 2 years agoSorry to hear you're having difficulty! Are you on a Windows machine by any chance? - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 9777552, 3 years agoThe best session add-on of all I have tried recently.
What I like: Saved Windows are really restored, not added to the currently open ones, like in other add-ons.
Problems:
1. The regional american date format is used as default session name. This format is used almost nowhere in the world and to the most people looks weird. It would be good to make it configurable.
2. It would be good to save and to restore also the size of each window, ideally as an option, to satisfy more users.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThank you for your review! To address your first point, I'm unsure what how you mean by configurable? Part of my reasoning for choosing the American date format is that it also matches valid characters for the name. I use a whitelist for allowable characters as a security measure. But, yes, also because I'm American and am used to the date format thereof. To your 2nd point, I'll admit I'm unaware of a FF API call to restore window sizes or positions. In addition, I really am trying to keep what data is used/preserved in the JSON blobs to a minimum for simplicity and convenience of upgrading when I must do so. I'd be happy to look over and accept a pull request if someone codes it out, though. - Rated 5 out of 5by Torcerdra, 4 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by spunkfunker, 4 years agoI really like this add on, it's simple and easy to use. However I have one huge problem with it. When you load a saved session it doesn't load the forward or backward tab data. Which is very helpful for people like myself who keep our history on sites like Ebay or Poshmark. If there were a way to fix that issue it would be the perfect session manager!

posted 4 years agoThank you for your review!! I am unaware of a way to pull a tab's history. There is a "session" API that presumably pulls history but looks limited to only a tab that was closed and then opened. The "tab" or "tabs" API doesn't seem to have a history section.
EDIT:
I am also trying to keep the data that is exported as small and simple as possible. - Rated 3 out of 5by behulgo, 5 years agoAfter saving my session and downloading it for later use inside completely empty window of Firefox fresh new installation (56 tabs, some of them pinned tabs) it does not remember which of the tabs were pinned, it opened all tabs as normal ones, unfortunately.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoSorry, you are correct that pinned status isn't preserved. In addition, I'm unaware of such a setting I can reference in the FF API that let's me query/set it. Though, it certainly could exist. I probably wont add it unless someone requests a code merge for me to look at. This is an open source project and maintained with free time and motivation. =) - Rated 5 out of 5by Artur, 5 years agoBrilliant add-on. automatically saved all windows at the same time, labeling them. Allows to select what tabs to open or save. Mega thumbs up
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12961550, 5 years agoBin begeistert. Die App ist übersichtlich und erledigt in Sekunden die Funktionen, die man erwartet. Ein Backup der Tabs wird zuverlässig wieder ausgeführt.
Danke - Rated 5 out of 5by Konstantin, 5 years agoGood add-on, but not user friendly interface.
Why its on "non-Recommended extensions" list?Developer response
posted 5 years agoHello, thank you for your review! I'm very grateful for your feedback and would like to know how I can improve the interface? Additionally, you said it's on the "non-Recommended extensions" list? I am looking into remediating this as soon as possible and was unaware till now that this is the case... =/I think I know why but it will take some effort. Basically, it has to do with SweetAlerts which is at the core of the interface. There are a few design patterns used that were questionable and may be getting flagged.
EDIT - 02/29/2020 :
I have removed SweetAlerts library and have attempted to make the UI simpler to use. I believe the plugin should no longer say it's not recommended as well. Though, it might take time? I'm not sure but will keep looking into getting that part fixed.
Edit - 03/18/20 :
I've come to realize that this is a non-Recommended extension because Firefox wants users to use extensions that have been fully vetted. Basically, they want users to be aware that add-ons are powerful and they don't fully vet but a few that are very popular. I mistook the label as implying something was inherently wrong with my add-on but that is not the case. As a side note, thank you for using my add-on! I hope my changes have helped make the interface more user friendly! =] - Rated 5 out of 5by dschroed, 5 years agoI'm so happy to have a working addon to save all of my open sessions, and restore after Firefox crashes (which it has been known to do on several occasions). Firefox's bookmarks frequently don't work anymore, so Easy Session Manager has been very valuable. Thanks so much!

posted 5 years agoVery happy to help out!! I've had the same issue of FF crashing and me losing tabs. This was the child born from desperation due to that kind of issue as I am pretty good at backing up sessions manually through this. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15250248, 5 years agoIt does what it says, so 5 stars for that.
Three suggestions: Make it so when you load a session not all tabs are loaded at once, that you can see the number of tabs saved per session, and that it either saves automatically a session every x minutes or that it has the presence of mind to recover a crashed session.
Thanks!Developer response
posted 5 years agoThank you for the review and suggestions!
I do like the idea of having the option to not load all the tabs at once. Though, this can be quasi worked around by selectively opening tabs. In the context you are thinking of I see there being an actual underlying "session" that is being maintained. When I re-write this plugin to clean things up these will likely get implemented along with the auto saving functionality.
As for having the presence of mind to recover a crashed session, that is somewhat a challenge to implement and from a plugin standpoint probably harder yet. I'd need to research it a lot more.
EDIT 02/01/2020:
I have more or less refactored my code and am relatively happy with how it's structured. Per your suggestion, I added in the number of tabs in a session to the session list item fields. I hope you've played with the selective load option to resolve your issue of loading a session causing all the tabs to load at once.
I haven't gotten to the last suggestion you had where one could set a timer to auto save sessions or have some kind of recovery mechanism if/when Firefox crashes. Either of these will require more tweaking with how this code is implemented. I made a booboo in using SweetAlert and how I set it up. My refactoring has mostly linearized the flow between the files but decoupling SweetAlert is still a task I'm not looking forward to. - Rated 2 out of 5by UserError, 5 years agoI really wanted this to work, but can't fathom out how to save a session. There's one thing having a clean interface, but it's not intuitive (to me at least).

posted 5 years agoTop Left button let's you save a session. If you hover over the buttons, it'll tell you what they do too.

EDIT - 02/29/2020 : I have done a complete UI re-work and hope you might reconsider using the addon.... Thank you if you do! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14392714, 6 years agoProsty manager sesji - robi to, czego od niego oczekuję.
Polecam!Developer response
posted 6 years agoZaktualizuj wtyczkę. wersja 0.2.0 dodaje selektywne zapisywanie kart i edytuje teraz umożliwia zapisanie nowej sesji lub edycję edytowanych kart. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14747743, 6 years agoTwo thumbs up, five stars, one program, the real mccoy
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14260855, 6 years agoCool dude, helped me understand how to use the program, use it everyday now.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14747724, 6 years agoReally good application, very helpful if you have lots of tabs open for specific things, like if you are a researcher. Five stars, don't know why the other people gave this a bad rating.

- Rated 3 out of 5by PERCE-NEIGE, 6 years agoNeeds more work. The menu is ugly: make it more eye-friendly. Downloading session doesn't work. Editing session only allows editing the title of the section, nowhere the tabs belonging to the session are shown. It doesn't replace profiles (because you have different extensions under different profiles).
Developer response
posted 6 years agoWhat do you suggest I do to make it more eye friendly? Also, the download option only works when a session is selected. I can add prompts for that. As for the profiles part the whole thing is that you have different tabs for a profile. Addons are a miner part of it. But, I see where confusion may lie.
