The add-on will collect geolocation information (latitude and longitude) each time the user clicks the toolbar button. This information, together with the Open Weather Map API key, will be sent to the Open Weather Map API service (https://openweathermap.org/) each click. The reason for this data usage is to provide precise weather information. The add-on also can optionally store the user personal name, if inserted by the user, to display a personalized greeting message.
