About this extension

Lock in or lose out.

Eat My Shorts is a fast, lightweight, distraction-free extension that eliminates short-form video addictions across your favorite platforms:

🚫 YouTube Shorts: Hides Shorts shelves from your home feed, search results, and sidebar; blocks direct /shorts/ video URLs.
🚫 Instagram Reels: Hides Reels from the sidebar dock, feed posts, and Explore grid; blocks direct /reels/ permalinks.
🚫 Facebook Reels: Suppresses Reels carousels, feed shelves, and navigation tabs; blocks direct /reel/ links.
🚫 TikTok: Neutralizes direct video links and locks static-URL infinite scroll feeds, keeping your background completely silent.

KEY FEATURES:
✨ Instant Cross-Tab Sync: Toggle platforms on or off in real time without refreshing your tabs.
⚡ 0% Idle CPU: Pure CSS-first blocking with zero lag, zero visual flickering, and zero battery drain.
🌙 Dark & Light Themes: Clean, neutral zinc aesthetics with built-in theme switching.
🛡 Anti-Tamper Focus Lock: A witty, motivating focus screen prevents mindless scrolling and silences all background media.
🔒 100% Private: All preferences are stored strictly on your local machine. No tracking, no analytics, no data collection.
