Privacy Policy – eDnevnik assistent
eDnevnik assistent is a browser extension designed to assist authorized teachers when working with the Croatian e-Dnevnik system.
Data processed in the browser
The extension may process information visible to the authenticated teacher in e-Dnevnik, including teacher identity, school and school year, student names and classes, subjects, schedules, lesson records, curriculum information, assessment elements, grades and related educational records.
Most working data is processed and stored locally in the user's browser so the extension can provide its functions.
The extension does not provide access to information that the user is not already authorized to access through e-Dnevnik.
Account and authentication data
Access to the beta service requires an authorized eDnevnik assistent account. The service processes the user's email address, a separate eDnevnik assistent password, account status, authorized teacher identity and session information.
The password used for eDnevnik assistent is separate from the user's e-Dnevnik password. The extension does not request or transmit the user's e-Dnevnik password.
Passwords are stored by the service only as cryptographic password hashes. Session tokens are stored locally in the extension and server-side session identifiers are stored in hashed form.
Server communication
The extension communicates with the eDnevnik assistent backend service at ednevnik-tester-access.onrender.com for account authorization, access verification and server-side generation of teaching material.
Before generation requests are sent, roster identifiers and several internal identifiers are removed or pseudonymized where possible. However, teaching text entered or read by the teacher may contain personal information, so users should not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in generated teaching material.
Generation requests are processed to produce the requested result. The service database stores account information, authorization state, usage counters and a limited security/audit history. Generation content itself is not stored as part of the persistent account database.
Purpose
Data is processed only to provide authentication, authorization, teaching-assistance functions, security controls and the functionality explicitly requested by the user.
Sharing and sale of data
Personal information is not sold to advertisers. The extension does not use advertising or cross-site behavioral tracking.
Data may be processed by infrastructure providers required to operate the service, such as the hosting provider, solely for providing the service.
User responsibility
Users must only process educational records that they are authorized to access and must review proposed information before entering it into the official e-Dnevnik system.
Data removal
Access can be revoked by the service administrator. Users may request deletion of their eDnevnik assistent account and associated account data using the support contact listed on the add-on page.
Relationship with e-Dnevnik
eDnevnik assistent is an independent extension. It is not developed, endorsed or operated by CARNET, the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, or the official e-Dnevnik service.
