by Firefox user 15950280, 3 years agoThis is great, it is like the element zapper in uBlock Origin, but much easier to access, and with a nicely working undo!
Unfairly, there are a few bad reviews from people who want something different, an automatic or permanent element blocker, rather than a one time element picker. There are other good extensions for that, such as uBlock Origin.

- Rated 5 out of 5by foxxxy, a year agoWhile this add-on is only temporary (if you refresh the page, it goes back to it's previous state) it is VERY helpful. I use it to block annoying sidebars on forums. Thank you!

It would be a nice touch though if the link to plugin's homepage[^1] as displayed at plugin's Mozilla page worked. It's broken currently at March 23 2022.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Ps, 5 years agoWould be nice to have the option to keep the element blocked every time I visit the page, and to turn it off too
- Rated 4 out of 5by Jay, 5 years agoWorks fine, however when I'm editing something online and need to highlight a section using ctrl + shift, then the area turns purple and it worries me if I then press the mouse button twice by accident. It would be good to assign the keys to ctrl + s (or any other letter that works). Other then this, it works.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14476105, 6 years agoGénial. Marvelous ! Juste ce qu'il faut pour gagner de la place dans une page web. Pour remettre à zéro sans tout annuler un par un il faut actualiser la page ...
- Rated 5 out of 5by twe, 6 years agoIt works, but the functionality is not enough. Need to add hiding rules or, at least, the ability to save settings for sites

On my FF 61.0.1 the crtl+shift highlighting overlays its color, i.e. the element colorization remains after mouseout. After ctrl+shift+dblclick the underlying element is highlighted and remains like this. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14197662, 6 years agoControl+shift+double-click will pop-up menu, can you customize the key combination?
- Rated 2 out of 5by Dekel Tal, 7 years agoAt least on my part, what I most often want to remove from the page are aggressive ads. Unfortunately, this addon does not work on anything that is a link, as performing ctrl-shift-click just clicks the link and opens it in another tab...
Developer response
posted 6 years agoHi Dekel Tal,
I have released an update that will stop ctrl-shift-click from opening a new tab on links.
Thanks for the feedback,
David
