- Rated 3 out of 5by Remo_G, 2 months agoI have used over a dozen password managers in the past and currently switching from 1Password, so my expectations are high.
They DO allow you to use "exotic" browsers and authenticate/approve the extension manually (one time task). This was not possible with 1Password, in browsers like Zen, the 1Password extension would not unlock via Desktop app but needs manual master password entry on every restart of the browser. This was the initial use case, why I considered another Password Manager other than 1Password.
BUT: I don't like that there is no option to save the Master Password Using TPM/Windows Hello like I can with 1Password. You need to re-enter your master password after every reboot.
Also, they do not convert Vaults from 1Password to Tags automatically, so make sure to assign tags with the naming of your vault to every vaults every item before exporting it for Enpass Import, so you can still identify the 1Password Vault structure in Enpass.
I do not like that there is no way to limit the scope in Enpass and Enpass Extension to a collection of vaults, like I can in 1Password. It is always either ALL valults or just one of them.
I do not like that there is no way to share items with the private version of Enpass, you need Enpass Business for this functionality. - Rated 4 out of 5by DBA, 2 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by OSOFAST, 4 months agoEvery other password manager out there wants you to sync your entire vaults into their clouds which is plain stupid. LastPass, 1Password and even Norton LifeLock have all been hacked and attackers walked away with TROVES of user passwords and vaults from a centrally located database that stores all users' vaults in one place. All these other cloud-based managers claim to have "top end security" but at the end of they day everyone of them got "pwned", and when that happens their entire userbase gets exposed.
Enpass offers what others don't, the ability to sync your vault without mixing it with other user's vaults using your own cloud, instead of cohosting your vault with all other users' vaults. That is hands down one of the safest approaches to achieve syncing of vaults; unless of course you prefer to just write your passwords in a notebook next to your desk and carry it everywhere you go.Developer response
