1. Single Purpose

The extension serves as a bridge to connect your browser's research activities directly to your personal workspace on the Eragear AI web application (https://eragear.app).
2. Data Collection & Usage

We only collect data when you explicitly interact with the extension.
A. Data We Process

Web Content: When you click "Save" or "Clip", we extract the page title, URL, author, and main textual content (converted to Markdown) of the active tab.
Search Results: When the "Copilot Overlay" is active on Google Search, we extract search result snippets (Title, URL, Description) to help you select relevant links.


B. Where Data Goes (Data Flow)

Destination: Your data is sent exclusively to the eragear.app tabs that you currently have open in your browser.
Mechanism: This transfer happens via Browser Internal Messaging (Client-side).
No Hidden Servers: The extension does not send your browsing history or clipped content to any third-party servers, analytics providers, or our own backend directly. It hands the data off to the Eragear Web App, where it is handled according to the Eragear App Privacy Policy.


1. Permissions Justification
   
   activeTab: Required to read the content of the page you are currently viewing when you clip it.
   scripting: Used to safely convert the page HTML into clean Markdown format.
   storage: Used to remember your local preferences (e.g., whether the sidebar is open).
   host_permissions: used to communicate with .eragear.app and .google.com.
2. User Control & Opt-out
   
   You satisfy the "Human-in-the-Loop": The AI does not read anything unless you explicitly click a button or enable a feature.
   Uninstall: You can uninstall the extension at any time to immediately stop all data processing.
