Add-on Privacy Policy

Privacy Commitment: ERION AI is built on the principle of local-first privacy. This Add-on does not require an account, does not track your browsing history, and does not sell your data.

1. Data Collection & Storage
   We do not collect any Personal Identifiable Information (PII). All chat interactions are stored locally on your device using browser local storage. We have no access to your conversations or history.
2. AI Data Processing
   When you input text or use the "Explain" feature, your prompt is sent securely to the Google Gemini API for processing. This data is used solely to generate a response and is not retained by ERION AI after the session ends.
3. Permissions
   The extension requests the following permissions to function:

activeTab: To allow the "Summarize Page" feature to read the text of the site you are currently viewing.
storage: To save your chat history locally on your computer.
menus: To provide the right-click "Ask ERION" shortcut.
4. Security
Since your data is stored locally, its security depends on your device's security. We recommend keeping your browser updated to ensure the best protection for your local storage.
