posted a year agoYou will have to disable other adblockers as they are getting detected not fadblock.
You can also add youtube.com to the exception list for domains on other adblockers (uBlock Origin, AdBlock) and then download fadblock to override regular adblock being prioritized on YouTube while the conventional adblocker will work across the remainder of the Internet.

- Rated 1 out of 5by kessoku, 23 days agoIt used to work really well like 3 months ago but it has not worked at all since then. When it does work its good but it will spam you with a popup telling you to buy it which is really annoying and makes me not want to buy it even more ESPECIALLY when it's not even working most of the time. I cannot recommend this extension at all in it's current state and with no updates or anything in the past 7 months I think it's safe to say this extension is dead.
- Rated 1 out of 5by David Grossberg, 23 days agoIt stopped working a few weeks or maybe a month ago and hasn't been updated. Just not skipping ads anymore. I tried uninstall and reinstalling it, but that didn't help
- Rated 4 out of 5by JennaKay, 2 months agoFad block, itself, is awesome. Its such a great idea. And works most of the time. Its YouTube that is the problem because YouTube detects FB every time there is an ad, so it will block it every time.
When this happens you have to manually refresh the page, and then video will continue playing. Its just a huge pain in the ass to have to continue doing that every time an ad comes on. I keep reporting to YouTube that Im not using an ad blocker.
But every once in a while FB randomly stops working. But in this case, just delete and re-download and it will start working again.
But other than that I have no complaints.
Thank you to the developers for making this awesome extension. - Rated 5 out of 5by gadget76, 2 months ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12455499, 5 months agoThis has recently (7/25/24) stopped working as youtube detects it and refuses to play videos until I turn it off. It is a great addon when it works. Please update.

Time in Mathikere, Bengaluru, Karnataka and this extension if working fine, keep up the hard work - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13744103, 8 months agoEver since YouTube started putting multiple 20 second unskippable adverts into almost every video - including where you click onto a new video after a few seconds - I have been looking for a way of skipping them as they're worse than TV! Thanks for this great extension which sorts the irritation.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Matt, 8 months agoIt works pretty well. I had increased lag for a bit and it seems like the guy fixed it. He appears to be doing a great job with this project and I respect that. I'll need to remove it as it stopped working (I assume it's because I haven't paid). I wish it was free as it looks legit but I'm not making enough for it. Great experience though and the creator looks like he's making improvements still! Good Luck!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Dormiyu, 8 months agoIt's just stopped working as of yesterday and nothing I can find seems to make it work again. It's also ironically asking for money now...
- Rated 1 out of 5by Lesley Lai, 9 months agoI like this plugin and it works well for me. Unfortunately, from the Github:
> I am no longer the owner of the extension called "FadBlock". I handed the extension off over a month ago, seems like it traded hands a couple of times, and now the current owner has added malicious code while keeping the extension as it is!

- Rated 2 out of 5by Derp, a year agoOnly half works. It prevents ads from playing, but your video stops and you still have to click "skip ad" to make the video play again. Would pay for it if it didn't stop my videos still.
- Rated 4 out of 5by kuziemek, a year agoDoes the job of blocking video ads without being detected perfectly, but the ones on the main page sometimes get through.

- Rated 1 out of 5by malau, a year agoA paid extension on FIREFOX ?!! The dev should take his scummy practices back to Chrome where this kind of behaviour belongs.
- Rated 3 out of 5by NR, a year agoOnce I figured out that it wasn't only uBlock Origin that was clashing with fadblock, but also the “block ads” aspect of Enhancer for YouTube™, it seemed to work perfectly.
The only reason I can't give it a higher score (aside from the payment aspect), is that while I only had to disable one aspect of Enhancer to get fadblock working, none of Enhancer's features work while fadblock is working, and it's painful to lose Enhancer functionality. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18180334, a year ago
