Thank you for your review! I completely agree with your cons, but I want to mention few things, just to make sure that you are getting the most from the extension:
1) The fields are automatically detected by their name or their id as long as it's exactly the same with the generator name. If not, then you will have to manually select it, like you said. 2) It might not be very intuitive, but you can actually change the locale setting for a specific generator or a specific field by using the custom code feature. In the future, if there will be a menu for "Extra options" for each individual field, changing locales will be there.
