Favorite Emotes Bar for YouTube Chat by Sock

Keep your most-used YouTube live chat emotes close at hand. Add emotes to your favorites bar, then select one to insert it into chat. Use a global list across channels, or create separate lists for specific channels.

Customize the favorites bar
- Collapse or expand the bar to save space in chat.
- Choose the size that works for you with three density settings.

Manage favorite emotes
- Add: In YouTube’s emote picker, middle-click or Shift-click an emote, or right-click it and choose Add to Favorite Emotes. You can also use Edit to add shortcuts or Unicode emoji manually.
- Remove: Right-click an emote on the favorites bar, or remove it in Edit.
- Reorder: Drag and drop emotes, or change their order in Edit.
- Audit: Check for duplicate favorites and custom emotes with invalid or broken image URLs. Items whose status can’t be confirmed are kept.

Choose a favorites list
- Global favorites: Used by default when the current channel has no saved Channel list.
- Channel favorites: Select +Channel to create a list for the current channel. It starts as a copy of your Global list, and remains separate as you edit it. A saved Channel list opens automatically when you revisit that channel.
- Custom emotes in a Channel favorites list are shown until the emote picker checks them. For the Global list, custom emotes not on the allowlist are hidden on page load by default; opening the picker checks which emotes are available for that channel. You can change the global visibility preference in Edit.

Back up your favorites
- Browser sync: Global favorites and preferences may sync through your browser when its sync storage and browser sync are available and enabled. Channel lists are stored locally and don’t automatically sync.
- Export and import: Export a JSON backup to move or restore your global favorites, Channel lists, allowlist, and display preferences in another browser or profile.
