Privacy Policy

FB Marketplace Tracker is a browser extension that runs entirely in your browser. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

What data is stored

• Tracked listings — URL, title, price, image URL, price history, and status (active/sold/removed) for items you choose to track
• Settings — Your check interval and notification preferences

All data is stored locally in your browser using the Firefox extension storage API (browser.storage.local). Nothing leaves your device.

What the extension accesses

• facebook.com — The extension reads Marketplace listing pages to extract item details (title, price, image, status). It does this using your existing Facebook session — no separate login or authentication is involved.
• Notifications — Desktop notifications are used to alert you of price changes and sold items. These are local browser notifications, not push notifications from a server.

What the extension does NOT do

• Does not collect or transmit personal information
• Does not track browsing activity outside of Facebook Marketplace
• Does not send data to any server, analytics service, or third party
• Does not use cookies or tracking pixels
• Does not require or store any login credentials

Data removal

Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data. You can also clear all tracked items from the extension's settings panel at any time.
