About this extension
Your screen is yours. Keep it that way.
Sharing your screen, recording a demo, or working in a café? Click Rebeccat, the knight kitten in your toolbar, and names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, card numbers, and ID numbers turn to solid ink on every open tab. Her visor drops so you know she's on guard. Click again and everything comes back. Prefer something softer? Switch to frosted glass in settings.
Private by default. No servers. No accounts. No tracking. No ads. No data collection, ever. Rebeccat reads pages to protect them, and everything it reads stays on your device. Detection runs on a model that ships inside the extension, and it works offline.
It checks video captions too. Rebeccat Pro goes further: it reads the words in images on screen and in pages drawn as pictures, like Google Docs and Sheets, and covers only the personal parts, and opens PDFs in its own viewer so they're covered too. Want zero risk? One Pro setting blurs every image, video and canvas.
Pro is $24 a year or $49 once, at rebeccat.vercel.app. Your license key is checked on your device, so Pro never phones home either. Everyone who installed Rebeccat before Pro existed has it free, for good.
You make the rules. If something slips through, select it, right-click, and choose "Always hide." It stays hidden on every page. Trust a site? Add it to the skip list.
What it doesn't cover yet: text inside video frames and apps such as Figma whose drawings can't be read (use "Blur all images, video, and canvases" for those), and names in non-Latin scripts, which you can add with "Always hide." Rebeccat is a strong safety net, so give your screen a quick look before you share it.
