by Firefox user 13639852, 5 years agoAny feed reader plugin I tried before FeedPro opened the plugin when I clicked in a feed URL link. Feedbro doesn't do nothing. The user must interactively click on Feedbro icon to add the source. This make harder to use.
I know the Spanish JSON is available, but why is not disposable as russian or Chinese??? :(

posted 5 years agoThe reason Feedbro doesn't render feed XML URL automatically as HTML when you open such link in a normal tab is that it would require Feedbro to scan ALL URLs that are loaded by the browser (and check if it looks like a feed based on HTTP headers and/or content). This would needlessly slow down the browser a lot.
Since that is a VERY marginal use case and with Feedbro you can use "Find Feeds in Current Tab" and see the link rendered as HTML when needed, such automatic conversion was not and will not be implemented.
Also the whole point of a feed reader is that you don't have to open feed links in normal tabs all the time. Feedbro will aggregate the articles from multiple sources and then you read those using the Feedbro UI.

When only online, it just shows the web page.
After going offline, it searches the content by trying to connect again
Please let me know if you could improve it further. And provides the content offline
Then I don't have to search one which provides such feature

It would be sensational if the template changed automatically at sunset from light to dark. - Rated 5 out of 5by 远离中共邪教快退出党团队, 2 months ago

Can't make it work in private windows in spite of setting it to do so.
Couldn't find a way to give feedback to Nodetics - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13272506, 2 months agoSo far the best RSS add-on, but it definitely needs an undelete / recycle-bin option!
Edit 2025.03.16: Lately it keeps losing all messages (read/unread) messages after browser restart. Peeping for alternatives... - Rated 5 out of 5by corujo, 2 months agoDoes everything it says on the tin, it's simple and lightweight.
just needs an option to limit/block notifications on startup - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 11647180, 3 months ago
