Fix42 browser extension privacy
The extension is a launcher for fix42.com's free online tools. It collects no personal data.
What it does NOT collect: no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports, no usage stats, no browsing history, no page content.
What the extension does: it fetches the public file at https://fix42.com/tools.json roughly every 6 hours so the launcher stays up to date as new tools ship. That request is a normal HTTPS GET with no user data attached. When you pick a tool from the popup, omnibox, or right-click menu, the extension opens a new tab on fix42.com (with your selected text pre-filled if you used right-click). The cached tool list and a few small preferences live in your browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded.
Third parties: the extension does not communicate with any third-party service. When you visit a fix42.com page in the tab the extension opens, that page is covered by the main website privacy policy at https://fix42.com/privacy.

storage: cache the tool list and small preferences.
contextMenus: power the right-click "Send to Fix42" menu.
tabs, activeTab: open tool pages in new tabs.
scripting: used by browser-native features that ship in future versions.
alarms: schedule the 6-hour tools-list refresh.
