FlashX Password Manager v1.8.0

This release focuses on improving autofill reliability, browser performance, security, and the credential verification experience.

What’s new
• Improved website-specific credential suggestions
FlashX now loads only credentials relevant to the website currently being visited instead of retrieving the full login vault for every login field.

• Faster credential suggestions
Site-specific credential lookups are cached briefly in extension memory and concurrent requests are coalesced to reduce unnecessary API calls and improve response time.

• Improved autofill behavior
Credentials without Master Password or MFA protection are now filled directly without unnecessarily starting the protected reauthentication flow.

• Improved protected credential flow
Credentials protected by Master Password and/or MFA now open the FlashX verification interface directly inside the current webpage using an extension-owned iframe.

• Fixed Master Password confirmation flow
Resolved issues where successful reauthentication requests could complete but the confirmation iframe would not open because of extension message/lifecycle timing.

• Improved MFA error handling
When a credential requires MFA but no MFA method is configured, FlashX now shows a clear message inside the extension verification interface instead of silently failing.

• Fixed incorrect protection flag handling
Corrected an issue where string values such as "off" could incorrectly be treated as enabled when saving Master Password or MFA protection settings.

• Improved empty-state behavior
"No stored credentials" is now shown only after the user explicitly clicks or taps a login field or the FlashX icon.

• Reduced background API traffic
FlashX no longer performs unnecessary full-vault requests when interacting with website login fields.

• Improved browser performance
Reduced unnecessary DOM observation, duplicated requests, and repeated credential-loading operations.

• Improved iframe lifecycle handling
Fixed several cases where credential verification, cancellation, and iframe cleanup could interfere with one another.

• Improved sensitive-data handling
Temporary Master Password values are kept only in extension memory and are consumed once rather than being stored in persistent browser storage.

• Improved storage hygiene
Sensitive transient data is no longer written to local extension storage. Only explicitly allowed non-sensitive preferences remain persisted.

• Improved request rate-limit handling
Better handling of HTTP 429 responses, including Retry-After behavior and prevention of duplicate verification submissions.

• Improved multi-frame support
Credential filling is targeted

Version Update:

Added support for Spanish and French languages in the FlashX Extension.
Improved localization to provide a better user experience for Spanish- and French-speaking users.
Minor performance improvements and bug fixes to enhance overall stability.
