Privacy policy for foxmate — a personal agent in your browser
foxmate has no server. It sends nothing to its authors and has no analytics.
Data stays in your browser: settings, memories, the action log, files in the Space, lent logins and saved logins stay in this Firefox profile. foxvault keeps saved passwords encrypted, and fills one into a sign-in page only after you approve it.
Data leaves your computer only in these cases, and each one is off until you turn it on:
- Shared tab with Claude Code. While you share one tab, Claude Code on your computer reads that tab through the foxbridge host, after Firefox's consent for website content. Claude Code sends what it reads to its own model provider, and that provider's privacy policy applies.
- Gmail and Google Calendar. If you connect them with your own Google OAuth client id, foxmate reads your mail and events from Google's API. It gives them to the planner, which runs on your computer.
- Phone approvals. If you pair a phone or another browser, foxmate sends approval requests to it over an encrypted peer-to-peer WebRTC link.
- Notice webhook. If you type a webhook address and turn it on, foxmate posts a short notice to it when a goal needs you or ends: the kind of notice, a fixed sentence and the time. If you also tick "Put the goal in the webhook notice" and Firefox's consent for website activity says yes, the goal goes with it. The privacy policy of the webhook's owner applies to that data.
foxmate also downloads model files from Hugging Face. These requests do not hold your data.
