by wonder, 7 years agoNot sure what to say. I'll have to say, because of the new firefox forced changes on foxyproxy, it has now become unusable for me, even since the new version before FF 57 rolled out. I had to revert to the old version to make it work when I was still using FF 56 and earlier versions. Now with FF 57, there doesn't seem to be a way to revert to earlier versions, then the current foxyproxy no longer works, even though all the proxy and patterns look the same as before.
Downthemall and flashgot and a few other important add-ons also become invalid. I guess it is time for me to abandon Firefox for good finally, despite that I have been using it (and its predecessor) for the past 20 years.

posted 7 years agoIf you decide to stay with FIrefox 57, you get the last version of FoxyProxy that works with it, 4.6.5, from here :

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18808553, a month agoWorks some of the time. Proxy config works for containers 1 and 2 consistently enough. Containers 3 and 4 (and Incognite) quit using it after a while and consume all my limited hotspot data after a couple of weeks.
See no way to respond directly to the Developer response below, but oh good grief. I get 60 GB of data but only 20 GB of hotspot data and run a socks proxy on the phone. A proxy doesn't change my overall volume of of internet usage, yes, but can have a tremendous impact on my hotspot usage. Data plans in which hotspot data is considerably less than total data are common. I have a couple of cameras in the house that aren't proxy aware and when the hotspot data is consumed the cameras quit working even though I still have plenty of data. - Rated 5 out of 5by antoru, a month ago
