Could you kindly specify what kind of information the extension requests? The original FDM extension only asks to set the folder for saving downloads.

der FDM ist gut, jedoch wird das Extetion nicht sofort ersichtlich dargestellt und man kann den Download nicht als Zeitleiste in Firefox verfolgen.

They acknowledge themselves that this addon is riddle with bugs, it's barely fuctional.

when i download chinese file, the name of the file is changed and wrong.

It works, but you have to install FDM and the extension separately. Also the latest FDM fails to download from certain sites, which seems to be a protocol issue and firefox's built-in downloader has the same problem.
