    Version 1.1.0

    Released Aug 13, 2026 - 25.84 KB
Works with firefox 142.0 and later
    • Add a clickable toolbar action in Firefox's Extensions menu.
    • Add a configurable keyboard shortcut, defaulting to Ctrl+Shift+F.
    • Add ENAMDICT proper-name readings alongside EDICT2 word readings, with separate
installation status and entry counts in the settings.
    • Add an optional diagnostics setting that logs detailed matching decisions for
every processed text node to the page console.
    • Require Firefox 142 or newer so all declared manifest keys are supported on
both desktop Firefox and Firefox for Android.
    • Clarify that EDICT2 comes from the JMdict/EDICT project and ENAMDICT from the
      related ENAMDICT/JMnedict project.
    • Preserve compatible downloaded dictionaries across extension and matching-logic
      updates, avoiding unnecessary downloads.
    • Apply authoritative ambiguity and inflection corrections at runtime.
    • Leave page-provided furigana unchanged and toggle only <ruby> elements created
by Furikazan and marked with data-furikazan.
    • Inject the content assets on demand when an already-open tab predates an
      extension installation or reload.
    • Prefer a single common reading instead of concatenating alternative EDICT
      readings.
    • Apply EDICT priority markers to their corresponding spelling, fixing readings
such as 秋 → あき and 先生 → せんせい.
    • Match proper names such as 田中 → たなか as a whole.
    • Recognize irregular 来る forms such as 来ない → こない and 来た →
      きた.
    • Read 前に as まえに.
    • Read an isolated greeting 今日は as こんにちは, while splitting non-greeting
usages such as 今日は暑い into 今日 → きょう plus the particle は.
    • Remove stale Furikazan-generated annotations when the local dictionaries are
      replaced.
