Privacy Policy
Ref: GNS-PRIV-2026-V2 Effective Date: 04 February 2026 Jurisdiction: England & Wales
This Privacy Policy outlines the practices and procedures observed by James Turner (XPDevs) ("Proprietor") regarding the governance of information during your engagement with the Genesis AI application ("Service").
The primary architectural directive of Genesis AI is the preservation of user privacy through absolute client-side execution. With the exception of specific opt-in features (Image Generation), no textual dialogue, prompt data, or generated responses are transmitted to, or stored upon, any external infrastructure managed by the Proprietor.
Section I: Data Sovereignty and Local Storage
1.1 Absence of Centralised Collection
The Service operates as a self-contained environment within the User's web browser. All logic processing, dialogue generation, and interaction history are handled exclusively on the User's local hardware. The Proprietor does not maintain databases of user conversations, nor is any such data extracted during Service operation.
1.2 Local Persistence Mechanisms
To ensure session continuity, the Service utilizes local storage protocols on the User's device. This data remains under the exclusive control of the User. The Proprietor possesses no technical means to remotely access, recover, or audit this information. The security of this data is commensurate with the security of the User's own device and browser configuration.
1.3 Edge-Based Content Moderation
Content safety protocols and internal filters are executed entirely within the local client environment. Textual analysis performed to ensure compliance with the Terms of Service does not result in the transmission of input data to external monitoring systems. Restricted content is intercepted and purged locally before being processed by the system logic.
Section II: Passive Infrastructure Interaction
2.1 Hosting and Network Logs
The Service is distributed via third-party hosting infrastructure (GitHub Pages). While the Service itself does not collect data, the hosting provider may automatically record standard network metadata (such as IP addresses and browser headers) for the purposes of delivery and security. This activity is governed by the privacy instruments of the hosting entity.
2.2 Preference Persistence
Basic operational preferences, such as interface themes and state configurations, are retained via local mechanisms. These are utilized solely to enhance the immediate user experience and are not repurposed for profiling, tracking, or marketing activities.
Section III: Integrated Features and Third-Party Processing
3.1 Google Authentication
Users may optionally utilize Google Sign-In for profile personalization. The Service retrieves and locally stores basic profile information (Name, Profile Picture) solely for display purposes within the user interface. This data is not transmitted to the Proprietor and remains stored locally on the User's device.
3.2 Voice Recognition
Voice input functionality relies on the User's browser-native Web Speech API. Audio data is processed by the browser vendor (e.g., Google, Apple) in accordance with their respective privacy policies. The Service does not record or transmit audio data to the Proprietor.
3.3 Image Generation
The Image Generation feature utilizes the Puter.js cloud infrastructure. Prompts submitted specifically for image generation are transmitted to Puter.js for processing. The Proprietor does not retain logs of these prompts, but Users acknowledge that this specific feature requires external transmission.
3.4 Location Data
The Service does not actively track User location. However, location data may be inferred by third-party hosting providers (GitHub Pages) via IP address logging, or processed locally if explicitly provided by the User within the conversation context for specific features such as weather updates.
Section IV: User Empowerment and Deletion
4.1 Right to Erasure
The User maintains absolute authority over their local data. The Service provides dedicated functions to purge all stored history and preference data. Manual clearance of browser storage will also result in the permanent and irrecoverable erasure of all local Service records.
Section V: Amendments and Enforceability
5.1 Policy Evolution
The Proprietor reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy as the Service architecture evolves. Continued use of the Service following such amendments constitutes acknowledgement of the updated practices.
5.2 Jurisdictional Compliance
This Policy is designed to adhere to the high standards of data protection expected within the jurisdiction of England and Wales. Any inquiries regarding data practices should be directed to the Proprietor.
