- Rated 5 out of 5by Markus Popp, 8 years agoWhen Firefox has fixed the bug which limits mouse gesture addons on Linux and OS X, this is probably the one I will use in the future.
2 questions:
Since version 1.1.9 Gesturefy doesn't trigger gestures at all on Linux (and maybe also OS X). Have you disabled this on purpose for now?
I can't find a timeout setting (so if the mouse isn't moved for a certain amount of time, the gesture is stopped), like Firegestures has it. Is it possible to implement this feature?Developer response
posted 8 years ago@1. question: Yeah, currently it's limited to middle and left mousebutton only.
@2. question: It should be possible and due to high amount of user request it's planned for the next version (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/gesturefy/reviews/931190/)
Edit: Right click is still working on Linux if you are using this trick: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/1 (just in case you aren't using firefox 57) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13337966, 8 years agoThis extension is very simple, so easy to handle and just works marvelous! A big Thank You, I like this App very much!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Shinji, 8 years agoFireGestures と比較すると機能的に劣る部分もありますが、WebExtensions の制限らしいので仕方がありません。Firefox Quantum で実用的な gesture が使えるという事だけでもありがたいです。
作者に感謝します。 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12707512, 8 years agoWould it be possible to add more features from Firegestures?
Like Ctrl + drawing a line over hyperlinks opens the links in new tabs?
Or the save image to file gesture?Developer response
posted 8 years agoKeypress gestures are already on the list and I'm planning to add a "Save media" action, but this requires a firefox API which is not implemented yet. - Rated 5 out of 5by tiantao433, 8 years ago挺不错的,不过大部分手势是空的需要用户定义,能参考老牌扩展提供兼容的默认手势更好了。
也有用户提出增加拖拽,我也需要此功能。 - Rated 5 out of 5by tim0, 8 years agoEverything was easy to setup and worked as expected right from the start. I like the new gesture graphics as well.
Coming from FireGestures the only downsides of the new extension are that gestures only fire after page has fully loaded and that they do not work on system tabs. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13250199, 8 years agoPlease, add an option to disable all animations (while scrolling page up/down, for example).

- Rated 5 out of 5by Mathias, 8 years agoAfter finding this as a webext replacement to Firegestures, it quickly grew to become one of my favourite addons. Besides from the obvious problems like being unable to use it on the home page, while the page is loading etc etc, it is a fast, easier and much more visually appealing addon than others. The design is modern and beautiful and it works great. Thank you for this
Edit: I hope to soon see Mac and Linux support as well - Rated 5 out of 5by Clae, 8 years agoBest gestures addon. Supported in Firefox Nightly 57+ since it is a Webextensions addon. Would like if it there was an option to cancel gesture action if I stop moving for a while.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Segaist, 8 years agoI noticed that gestures with smartUp Gestures don't work when you start drawing a gesture over certain page elements. As an example, image search on duckduckgo – to make a gesture work with smartUp Gestures you need to start drawing it in the space between images. No need for that with Gesturefy, works everywhere!
If possible, I would like to see in future an option to have a smooth scrolling animation when performing actions "scroll to top/bottom". - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12609462, 8 years agoGreat work so far, the options are clear and simple but you can go far and customize the whole thing, for me it's the best gesture addon available right now. Godspeed devs and thanks!
