Can the tabs sequence change from 1,2,3,4... to ...4,3,2,1?Developer response
posted 7 years agoHey. This is a bit difficult from a number of perspectives. But it is in the back of my mind.
But please write suggestions or feature requests on GitHub https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues - Rated 5 out of 5by lucasmartin, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13533830, 7 years agoGesturfy may be loaded down with more features than I really want, but its slick interface makes it easy to pick out and customize the parts I want.
I also appreciate the specific explanation of required permissions. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13462783, 7 years ago还不错,firefox自带的标签页(例如本评论页面,空白标签页面)不能用手势,希望以后能改进。
- Rated 2 out of 5by Al, 7 years agoI only use the rocker gestures from this extension, but I use them A LOT. Since the update to FireFox 57, and if I enable a rocker that starts with the left click, I can no longer select text in web pages by clicking the left button and dragging!
Moreover, the rocker that starts with right click does not work. This is explained by Gesturefy as being a Firefox bug, and I read that this will be fixed in the next Firefox release. For me this addon is completely unusable at the moment and I had to disable it.Developer response
posted 7 years agoI guess you are using Linux or Mac and suppose you've set the left mouse button for the mouse gesture, because this is the only thing that prevents text selection. I recommend using Firefox 58 beta, because the right mouse button is fixed since the latest version (Gesturefy 1.1.17 and Firefox 58.b7). To enable text selection just change the mouse button to the middle or right mouse button. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13534645, 7 years agoEasy to use. Much easier if they have an option to safe their setting in a small config file.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Warren, 7 years agoVery happy! It works! Now tell me why with Firefox 57, Quantum, when I select from the menu bar, the menu instantly disappears when I hover over it with the mouse. Uninstalled Gesturefy and the problem went away.

posted 7 years agoIf by menu bar you mean this: https://www.maketecheasier.com/assets/uploads/2015/07/restore-firefox-menu-bar-example1.png then it's totally unrelated to Gesturfy. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13533685, 7 years agoI've used this for a number of years, and am now looking for a different gesture extension. My gestures have been wiped half a dozen times (presumably by updates) and because I've customized mine a fair bit this creates quite a bit of frustration.
Despite that, it's not a bad extension, but caveat emptor. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13520538, 7 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13530520, 7 years agoVery good as an alternative to FireGesture. Dear Developers, could you consider adding functions like 1:"[Popup] Search for Selection with..." and 2:"Open URL / Search for Selection" (I'm not sure the actual title of the latter, though. I mean, if the selection is URL then open it, else search for selection with the default search engine) that FireGesture has, or there's some technical limitation which prevents them? Thank you.
Developer response
posted 7 years ago1. Popup gestures are on the list. For more information see here: https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/99
2. This is possible. The queston is how I will add it (extra action or an option for search action) - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13529298, 7 years ago

Is this just for business or ok for home, and what does it actually help with or do, Thanks.Ron - Rated 3 out of 5by taro yamada, 7 years agoロッカジェスチャで画像の保存が使用できるため、重宝しています。
ただ、使わないほうのジェスチャーを何もなしにできない点と、画像の保存でCanvasの保存ができないことは不便です。 - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13526206, 7 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nicholas Valentine, 7 years agoDefinitely one of the most useful addons. The only downside is that it doesn't work on home/newtab/addons and every other build in web page.
- Rated 5 out of 5by tiger_28, 7 years agoAmazing. I was pretty impressed by GestureFy. I have been using Firegestures for a while before Firefox 57 came and broke eveything. I was using Foxygestures but met a few odd bugs and behaviours when using it. Gave GestureFy a go and was amazed. Good extension and great interface for the customization. Thumbs up

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13518139, 7 years agoworks great!
just one thing, it is not working on system pages, eg. new tab blank page, option page, etc.
I want it to be able to work on these pages so I can swipe to close these tabs
thank you!Developer response
posted 7 years agoThis is a known api limitation. Please read the addon description for more information. However if you change your new tab page to a normal website, for example by using NewTabOverride (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/?src=search) gestures will work there. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13518035, 7 years agoHi thank you so much for this add-on. So far, it's working fine. I have a feature request. While using the touchpad on my laptop I can execute the gestures by using two fingers and pressing the pad and execute the gesture (two fingers for right click actions) however, i would like that I can combine the CTRL key with one finger to execute the gesture instead...do you think this is possible to include?
- Rated 1 out of 5by olds97_lss, 7 years agoWorks fine, but causes SnapLinksPlus to not work https://github.com/cpriest/SnapLinksPlus
Found that FoxyGestures seems to work with SLP.
