- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13468381, 7 years agoYou get 5 stars for style and coding skill - but also because you're planning to recreate the "Save Image Now" feature from the old FireGestures addon. (This feature instantly & silently saved any jpg, png, gif, etc to the Downloads folder.)
I've used that gesture at LEAST a hundred times a day for the last 5+ years. It has saved me COUNTLESS hours of clicking through menus. Please make it priority? I will name my firstborn kid after you. Seriously.Developer response
posted 7 years agoI'll give my best :) but it will have problems to figure out the right file extensions for unnamed images, so you will have to add it your self (that was the reason why I didn't implemented it yet) - Rated 5 out of 5by Castor, 7 years agoCHANGED ★ TO ★★★★★
Now it works on Linux.
Some years ago I tried to find web-extension as alternative to FireGestures and now it is (not full replace but basic functionality which enough to everyday use). Developer response

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13467733, 7 years agoGood extension, has all the gesture functionality that I need although I run into a bit of an issue with opening tabs.
I like all my new tabs to open at the end of the tab row which is achievable by going into about:config and setting browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent to false. This opens all tabs at the end of the tab row however for some reason when I open new tab from a link via a mouse gesture it doesn't obey this behaviour and instead opens it next to the current tab.
If there was an option for the behaviour that I want that would be excellent. Developer response
posted 7 years agoHey. Unfortunately that is true, it is an api limitation. But that's in the description.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13362736, 7 years agoGood extension, beautifull and efficient, work under fedora 27 (ff57) but with the left button, I prefer the right button that's why I have 3 stars
- Rated 5 out of 5by matif525, 7 years agoIt's a nice addon. Here are some features suggests:
1. Add gestures for in/decrease page number.
2. Is it possible to add feature for drag text/image/links to right/left direction for useful command?Developer response
posted 7 years agoIn/decrease page number will be available in the next version.
The second feature is possible, but would take some effort. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12337182, 7 years agoThe Left click option doesn't seem to work on Linux. Because of this it's hard to use things like left click scroll mouse because you almost have to use the middle click (scroll mouse) to active.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13463699, 7 years agoI am a Linux user, setting the middle button as Gesture button is as good as it gets. Easy and intuitive configuration, it does what I need as a former user of FireGestures.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Matthew Miller, 7 years agoI'm giving this three stars because I appreciate the effort and I know it's not the extension-writers' fault. Realistically, though, this is 1 star compared to FireGestures and what we had before.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13360867, 7 years agoBasically, it doesn't work on a Mac. Some success on PC, but if you use a Mac you're out of luck. Don't waste your time.

posted 7 years agoHey, that is a known issue, you can read about that in the addon description. You can use the left or middle mouse button. (Change this in the settings) - Rated 4 out of 5by Ben, 7 years ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13462133, 7 years agoI updated to this addon when Firefox updated to 57. It certainly is not what I expected. Since I can't use the right mouse button (I'm using Ubuntu) I have to use the left (the middle doesn't work despite what it says). This means I can no longer select text to copy/paste from a webpage. I hope fire gestures updates to work with FF57

- Rated 5 out of 5by jsyemail, 7 years agoone feature missing, i need a function ( close other's tab, just keep current tab )
Developer response
posted 7 years agoThe feature is there. Look at "Remove other tabs" -> Remove all tabs except of the current tab and pinned tabs.
Or do you want to close the pinned tabs too? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13361995, 7 years agoПо сравнению с FireGestues это аддон какой-то не функциональный.

Does it only work on certain pages like about:addon or newtab? Then look here:

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13456942, 7 years agoDoes not work at all on Mac OS 10.9.5
Hey, please read the description:

I DID try left, right and middle scroll wheel. DOES NOT WORK. Had to revert back to FF 56 and use Fire Gestures.
UPDATE - literally ten minutes later the add-one started to work!!!! But works intermittently. Not reliable
UPDATE - Works 100% now. One thing missing. Restore window size! After maximizing window, I often want to restore it to previous size. At present can only maximize or minimize. FEATURE REQUEST! Do this and I'll give 5 stars! Thanks for being responsiveDeveloper response

Update: thanks for your updates, because of your request look here https://github.com/Robbendebiene/Gesturefy/issues/112 - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12214374, 7 years agoWHEN OTHERS SAY DOESN'T WORK ON ALL PAGES, THEY MEAN IT. So when you think its not working at all, try other webpages.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13456652, 7 years agoFast & customisable. On screen feedback is so helpful.
Just the perfect addon, as I ue to to 'Scroll to top' [Right button swipe-up] & 'Reload' [Anti-clock wise swirl] constantly. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13455515, 7 years agoPros:
+ intuitive setup
+ unlike Foxy Gestures you can set a gesture to close the window
Cons:
- unlike FireGestures, the gestures don't work untill current tab has partially loaded
- unlike FireGestures, the bloody thing doesn't work on some tabs at all (such as the one I'm writing this at or a new tab)
