Latest version
Version 3.69
Released Oct 14, 2026 - 496.71 KBWorks with firefox 128.0 and laterSnippets and panel:
Replaced the single text box with three snippet fields by default.
Added + to add fields and − to remove extra fields, while keeping at least three.
Added per-snippet Paste, Clear, Start, and Stop controls, plus a Clear all action.
Saved snippet text locally and retained support for previously saved text data.
Added editable snippet names and ↑ / ↓ controls to reorder snippets.
Added JSON export and import, including support for legacy JSON arrays of text. Invalid imports preserve the current snippets; replacing existing snippet data requires confirmation.
Typing and editor compatibility:
Improved typing into standard inputs and textareas by using the native value setter and dispatching input events for framework-controlled fields.
Added handling for inputs that do not support selection APIs, such as email inputs.
Added CodeMirror and Monaco timing adjustments to give those editors more time to process simulated input.
Added support for focused rich-text areas inside same-origin iframes, including the TinyMCE-based Online Notepad case.
Added traversal into accessible, open shadow roots and support for the focused Google Docs event target.
Added Canvas Mode for pages that implement their own keyboard handling on a canvas.
Added recovery for extension reloads: when the page has no message receiver, the extension injects its content script and retries.
Added a compatibility indicator that classifies the focused element or clicked canvas. It reports a detected type; it does not test whether typing will succeed.
Compatibility limitations: page scripts receive synthetic, untrusted events and may ignore them. GhostType does not turn arbitrary canvases into editors, access closed shadow roots or cross-origin iframe contents, or defeat authentication, anti-bot, or trusted-input requirements. The compatibility changes are support paths, not universal restriction bypasses.
Appearance and accessibility:
Removed the sign-in, status-refresh, contact, promotional app, rating, and other unnecessary panel prompts.
Applied a GitHub-inspired dark/light palette.
Added locally bundled Inter and JetBrains Mono fonts, with their OFL license files, so the extension does not need an external font service.
Styled toast notifications to match the theme, with distinct info, success, warning, and error states.
Added the compatibility status message with explanatory details.
Added the developer credit “Developed by Сухас Дхोलз // GTekSD” and placed the version on the line below it.Source code released under All Rights Reserved
