Privacy policy for GIF Comments for YouTube
GIF Comments for YouTube collects no personal data. It has no account, no analytics and no server of its own; the developer never receives anything from it.
- youtube.com: the extension adds a GIF button to comment boxes and, when you post, adds the chosen GIF's Tenor ID to the comment that YouTube's own page sends. It does not read your password, cookies, history or other comments. With the optional "Hide GIFs" switch on, it hides GIF attachments in YouTube comments.
- Tenor: your search words are sent to Tenor (tenor.com and tenor.googleapis.com) to find GIFs, without your cookies. Tenor's own privacy policy applies to those requests. GIF previews load from Tenor's media servers.
- gifcomments.com: on the extension's own website only, it tells the page which version is installed. Nothing else is shared.
- Stored on your device: saved GIFs, recent GIFs and the Hide GIFs setting are kept in the browser's extension storage. They never leave your computer and are deleted when you remove the extension.
No data is sold, transferred or used for advertising. Full policy: https://gifcomments.com/privacy
