GitCMS Browser Extension Privacy Policy

The GitCMS browser extension provides shortcuts for opening GitHub repositories, Markdown/MDX files, and folders in the GitCMS web application.

Data processing

The extension processes GitHub page or link URLs only when you explicitly invoke its context-menu, toolbar, or address-bar shortcuts.

When you open GitCMS through the extension, the destination URL may contain the repository owner, repository name, branch, and selected file or folder path.

What the extension does not collect

The extension does not independently collect account credentials, store browsing history, continuously monitor browsing activity, or collect extension analytics.

GitCMS web application

When the extension opens gitcms.dev, the website's regular privacy practices apply, including those related to accounts, authentication, and website usage.
