Chrome Extension for Firefox – Threat Email

The Threat Email Chrome Extension does not collect, store, or transfer any personal data from the user.

Data Access

The extension temporarily reads the content of the email displayed in Gmail in order to analyze it using a local or self-hosted artificial intelligence.
No content is transmitted to any third-party servers.

Use of Chrome Permissions

activeTab: Used to target the currently active Gmail tab.

scripting: Used to inject a script that extracts the email content for analysis.

identity: Only used to link the request to Gmail (no authentication, no data storage).

host_permissions: Allows requests to the self-hosted AI API (e.g., localhost or internal IP).

Security & Privacy

No tracking, no cookies, and no storage of personal data.
The user remains the sole owner of their information at all times.

GDPR Compliance

This extension is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
