- No account registration is required for guest use.
- No content scripts or website injection.
- No browsing-history access.
- No access to tabs or page content.
- No selling of inbox content or identity information.
- Email HTML is sanitized before display.
- Message content is rendered inside a restricted sandbox.
- Remote sender images are blocked by default to reduce tracking.
- Full message bodies and OTP values are not stored in browser sync storage.
- Access tokens are handled by the extension service worker.
GoBurner requests only the permissions needed for temporary inbox functionality:
- Storage for session state, preferences, and safe cached summaries.
- Alarms for optional background synchronization.
- Notifications only when you explicitly enable them.
- GoBurner website access only for communication with the official GoBurner API.
Current release
GoBurner is focused on fast, private disposable email from the Firefox toolbar. Inbox extension is currently marked Coming soon and is not active in this release.
