This would benefit from configuration/options to choose the background even darker or black.
FYI This applies to G. Docs editing page only. It doesn't apply to the page which lists your G. Docs. - Rated 3 out of 5by BeeNana, 3 years agoWorks okay (sometimes) but I've been having an issue with Firefox Version 95.0.2 where instead of the secondary toggle turning the page grey with white text, it just turns the border (black from the top switch) grey and turns the cursor white. It was working right for a few weeks when I first installed it, but I can't seem to make it work right now. Same issue on my work PC.

One little thing, comments in Google Docs are still white, could this maybe be fixed at some point? - Rated 1 out of 5by Fnoigy, 3 years agoIt literally just makes the document border black. The actual document, and all menus and such are still their normal color. Actually makes it much worse.
- Rated 5 out of 5by GETTODACHOPPA, 3 years agoIt does what it says it does, although it has some funky working switches which you have to turn on and off again to make them work correctly. Thank you for relaxing my eyes at night.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Chezaus, 3 years agoIt removes the ability to see spelling and grammar mistakes underlined on words

- Rated 4 out of 5by Pancake King, 3 years agoI'm only rating 4 stars instead of 5 due of me having issues seeing where my cursor is when i activate both options on google docs. (to have grey mode), other then that. This is great! https://imgur.com/a/Q5logug

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16999183, 3 years agoIts really good! The only problem is that page is still white while everything else is dark. Other than that it works perfectly
- Rated 5 out of 5by denagh, 3 years agoWorks exactly as promised. No longer is working in Google Docs like staring into a spotlight.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15046544, 3 years agoCurrently it blacks out the Styles menu which can make formatting your document a bit difficult.
See here: https://i.imgur.com/5kfpsxI.png - Rated 5 out of 5by Jane, 3 years agoIt changes the background of the Google docs from eyeball destroying white to a pleasant dark grey or black and doesn't mess up the overall theme of my browser or any other websites (unlike other add ons I've tried), nothing too fancy, doesn't have a hundred unnecessary features that cause crashes or slowing down, simply does what it's supposed to do: spares my eyes from the default google docs background white, nothing more, nothing less. Exactly what I needed, thank you.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Dan, 3 years agoWorks well but really needs options to be able to set the colours. At the moment you can have it in any colour, as long as it's black :)
- Rated 3 out of 5by MrSurly, 3 years agoPartially works; document editing can be fully dark if you change your page color for the document. Document list is still white, with the exception of the hamburger menu.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Molly, 3 years agoIt worked lovely for a few months and now it doesn't do anything

- Rated 3 out of 5by Airplanegobrr, 3 years agoWAYYY to black! Make it so you can change what color it makes it

- Rated 4 out of 5by Raena, 4 years agoThis only changes the interface around the page, not the document itself, but if you go into File > Page Setup you can change the page background to black and then the text color to white. Works great for what I was looking for; probably the only thing I wish is that there was a lower contrast version, but with a pretty simple workaround, you get what you ask for.
