- Rated 5 out of 5by Marty, 5 months agoA really very good extension that allows you to personalize Google Search so that you no longer have content forced on you by Google. Well done, and thank you for this masterpiece of extension. Unfortunately, this extension no longer works at all. The Google search is impossible because you no longer get the results you want, but only advertising. I strongly recommend all people to use another search engine like duckduckgo. Google is taking action against all types of ad blockers in its war against ad blockers, which began in April. After YouTube, Google Search has now also become a combat zone. Google Translate is barely accessible for Chrome-based browsers such as Opera, Chromium, Vivaldi and so on.

posted 2 months agoI made some updates, hopefully it works better now. But yes, I agree the best solution is for people to use other search engines such as DuckDuckGo, SearX or just use AI which you can even host/run locally if you want with something like Ollama(ollama.com). - Rated 5 out of 5by Voidworks, 6 months ago

Google search results page is starting to look more and more like an online store than a search engine. I DO NOT NEED all that rubbish. I know what I'm looking for, and that's all I need. There might have been once in a fifty times, when these 'features' might have helped me. But more often than not, they were immensely distracting.
Earlier, the 'pick' tool in Ublock used to take care of these annoyances, but it was becoming more and more difficult with the amount of crap that Google had started throwing on the page. Thank you so much for this Extension. - Rated 4 out of 5by Bkuuzin, 3 years agoI've wanted an addon like this for a while now! Thank you, now I can finally block those search result ads! So far it's working pretty well.
Right now the only issue I've noticed is that sometimes when I hide specific widgets, they still appear for a second before correcting itself and hides the widgets. It's not a huge deal, but a little annoying. Also, sometimes it doesn't hide some widgets when it should, like some images embedded in search results. Otherwise, it usually works fine.
Not sure if it's possible with this addon, but it'd be cool if you could rearrange everything so the search results are always on the left, and all widgets are on the right of the page.Developer response
posted 3 years agoHi.
1. The widgets appear in the beginning because the page needs to get loaded first and then the extension modifies it. To fix this the extension would have to modify the page after it loads but before it renders to the user. I'm not sure if this can be done from an extension.
2. From time to time when Google changes the structure of elements on the search results page the extension will fail to work properly as it doesn't find the widgets where it expects them. They keep adding more cr@p to the search results so certain widgets might not be accounted for by the extension. Every now and then I make an update to take care of such issues.
3. As far as positioning the widgets to one side, it would be technically possible but would require some work. Also, it would be prone to breaking when Google makes changes to the results.
Thanks for the feedback. - Rated 5 out of 5by Divyanshu Yadav, 4 years agoI have been searching something like this similar for a very long time .
- Rated 4 out of 5by Bravotha, 4 years agoSimple and fairly effective, definitely cleans up Google Search. Misses some of the widgets here and there and removing the emojis seems to mess up the google page counter at the bottom. It would be nice to select witch widgets are blocked, but overall I will be using this add-on.
