Grammarly: AI Writing and Grammar Checker App by Grammarly

by Dan Vojcak, 6 years agoI am a paying premium user of Grammarly. At first, I was very happy with Grammarly and excited to try it out. I absolutely love the Microsoft Word integration and will continue to use and depend on it. However, when it comes to browsing the web, Grammarly simply does not work or offer much for me since I use Firefox and Firefox Nightly. Grammarly constantly pesters me to log in (it NEVER remembers my login info) and this is a nuisance. More importantly, it lacks important functionality. It simply does not detect simple spelling and grammar errors when I'm writing new social media posts on Facebook and Twitter, and it does not yet have a Google Docs integration/add on. Use Grammarly for its Microsoft Word integration, not the Firefox add on for web browsing -- I like gmbh LanguageTool the best of what I've tried.

- Rated 2 out of 5by MrB, 2 months agoSo awhile back just staying signed out and taking the few freebies they let you had was enough to let it live sitting there probably harvesting data or extrapolating or whatever word used to obfuscate how my usage gains them something. Then little annoyances grew and festered, like the suggestion popup starting to block more and more of the UI and causing real delays, less of this, more nag, more less, and less and less reasons to keep it around. Welp, one spellcheck and then you be a nagging me boy?! let me show you what ingrates gits when them britches gets too big and your booty ain't paying the rent no moe. Adios Grammar Nationalist Socialists let the purge of all things green begin! Whaaaagh!

- Rated 1 out of 5by ximon, 3 months agoWorks like half the time. Other times, it adds mistakes, like putting a comma where it shouldn't be.
