Group Speed Dial by Juraj Mäsiar

by Lord of Scripts, 8 years agoI get the impression this will also backup to the cloud my passwords or other sensitive website data. During installation it asks for permission to access ALL data.
Also, I try to add the page to a dial but it shows me a blank page and no option to create a dial group, what's the purpose of all this if it does not work?

As an author of GroupSpeedDial I can guarantee you there are no passwords or any other private data being collected.
In fact, unless you create an account on https://group-speed-dial.fastaddons.com/ there will be no data send to my server at all.
If you create an account, only information about dials you entered (like URL and name) will be synchronized with server.
All this can be verified by anyone using Developer tools in Firefox and checking network messages.
Also all add-ons including this one has to pass automatic and manual tests/reviews done by FIrefox team to avoid malicious add-ons.
Regarding the message about accessing all data - this means that add-on can inject "content script" into some pages - specifically this add-on can inject it only in my "https://*.fastaddons.com/*"" domain, this can be verified in manifest.json file.
I would like to point out that privacy is very important to me and I'm doing my best to protect all users data synchronized to my server. These data will be never accessible to anyone else!
Regarding your issue with the "blank page", could you please write me to my support e-mail your Firefox version and operating system you are using? Add-on should work normally in every OS in every new Firefox version including Nightly.
Have a nice day and weekend :)
Best regards,
Juraj Mäsiar

- Rated 5 out of 5by Desert Catmom, 18 days agoWorks smoothly and has a lot of customization. So far this is the BEST speed-dial add-on I have found. Works well with Firefox. Many thanks to the developer for creating this. I subscribed to the PRO version to help support this work.
- Rated 4 out of 5by pulsar14, a month ago"Open Group on Mouse-over" almost useless because reacts too quickly. Time delay should be 3000 max and not 300. If I set groups on multi-rows, mouse movement hovering the groups opens what I don't want to open.
That's why this feature is almost useless. Thank youDeveloper response
posted a month agoHello,
Thank you for the feedback.
I'll increase it, but 3 seconds sounds a bit too much :).
I'll fix this in the upcoming version 29.0 which should be out in a near future.

- Rated 5 out of 5by ssdogdu, 3 months agoThe dial dimensions are too large. I gave 4 stars but I would give 5 stars if it was possible to resize dials and adjust how many dials should be in a row.
Edit: Yep, did it! Thanks. Will change to 5 stars of course.Developer response
posted 3 months agoHello,
You can customize the group layout in the "Edit group" window - right click group name or open main menu and click "Edit group".

posted 7 months agoHello,
Group Speed Dial version 26.0 is still compatible with Firefox ESR 115, you can install it from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/groupspeeddial/versions/
(click the "[Download file](https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/4348052/groupspeeddial-26.0.xpi)" below the change log)
Sadly, I can no longer bring back support in the current version of my addon due to missing JavaScript features in Firefox ESR 115. Even the newer ESR 128 is getting too old and in a few months will be replaced with Firefox ESR 140.
But the version 26.0 should work fine.
