This is just not a patch on the previous speedial.

Keeps opening tabs I have closed, not easy to say dont do it again

Best of a bad lot at the moment

This sounds like issue not related to my add-on at all.
Please try to use Firefox Reset to fix your Firefox:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings
