- Rated 5 out of 5by Qre, 6 years agoThis is the best replacement for old add-on Speed Dial by Josep del Rio, and only reason for staying with Firefox. They manage to kill every decent addons.
GSD is good looking with many options and is fast.
I have one question and one wish:
Q: Is it possible to add two or more links to one speed dial button? Like in old SD (by Josep) with key " | ". In one click to open two or more pages.
W: I realy like to see option to hide specific group. Maybe with password protection.Developer response
posted 6 years agoHello,
The option to have multiple pages in one dial will be coming in the near future. However not by using "|", there will be a proper setup for that.
Until then, you can create a new group with those dials and then create group-dial (dial pointing to a group) and then use context menu option "Open all dials".
Regarding hiding groups and password protection - this is also planned features. However not so soon. It will be part of end to end encryption update.
Best regards,

Only one problem:
It doesn´t sync my tabs/lists? Only the first page.

Design Customizations or Tutorial where/how to edit CSS/Background etc.Developer response
posted 6 years agoHello,
Regarding the sync - are you talking about the thumbnails synchronization? Because the dials are synchronized as a whole, not by groups. Please contact me to my support e-mail.
I can advice you also about the CSS if you have a specific question. If you know CSS, you can just write it in the Options page to the "Custom CSS styles:" field.

posted 6 years agoHello,
I'm not sure I understand, but if you want to be able to scroll the thumbnails, you can go to Options page, and to the field "Custom CSS styles:" enter this:
.dials > a > div {
overflow-y: scroll;
margin-right: -29px;
}
That will enable scrolling of the dials, plus hides the scrollbar.
Alternatively, if you want to see scrollbar and only when it's really needed (when the image is long enough), you can use this:
.dials > a > div {
overflow-y: auto;
}
If you mean something else, please contact me to my support e-mail.

- Rated 3 out of 5by MatsSvensson, 6 years agoNice, but i wish it would just work like the original speed dial.
It keep opening an extra invisible window, how do I turn that off?
And the rules for rendering thumbs makes no sense at all.
Why are there separate settings for how its rendered when its reloaded and 2-3 various other ones that seem to be triggered at random?
Whatever you do to finally get it to look sharp, after a while it always ends up looking like a crap later.Developer response
posted 6 years agoHello,
The thumbnails generation is very complex process now. Sadly the API that was available before for the SpeedDial is not available anymore.
There are three options for generating thumbnails and each of them has some advantages and some disadvantages.
But the best results are from the background reload - which works in the invisible tab. These thumbnails should be sharp.
This method is by default used when you add a new dial (unless you use "Add this page to dial" from context menu on a page).
You can also use reload by visiting page which also yields good thumbnails and it works on any page.
I will try to simplify the options in near future for easier usage...
Also feel free to contact me directly on my support e-mail.
